„Extended stretching“ (minimum one minute) is one of the passive methods of stretching. It should be regarded as its own training session. Through this method muscle tone can be regulated. It has a positive influence on the water content of the fascia and increases lubricity. Frequent stretching results in positive changes in the connective tissue at the junction of muscles and tendons, which has a positive effect on the joints.
